My 16mm lab project

#1
I've been lazily building a 16mm lab for ECN-2 color neg / ECP-2 color print / E6 color reversal and BW film from 2007. I've redesigned it a few times (for previous revision, see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wB4a_RN6U9Y ) but this time I believe I'm going in the right direction. I just completed the first tank rack with slots for seven ~9 liter tanks max 70 cm deep. Look at this:

This first rack is the "dark side" rack, then there will be a 11-tank rack (similar in design) to total to 18 tanks, and a dryer.

Tanks are made of 5mm acrylic (plexiglass) and are easily inserted in rack from below (this way they can ejected for easy maintenance):

I have also control panel electronics mostly done.

I'll update this discussion whenever I have some real progress to report!

What a fantastic project! You just need a little motivation and get it all together.

This is brilliant. It is exactly what I am in the process of building as there are no B&W reversal processors in the southern hemisphere, and now only one ECN-2 lab in the southern hemisphere that will accept lengths of colour neg film of less than 10,000ft. I process 1800-2000ft of B&W reversal in a lomo tank and it is a real chore. I have to send you my details to get your thoughts on my ideas.
