I don't know how I'd missed this group! I have a Konica IIIa in lovely condition; the everready case is...pretty rough. But then the case has preserved the camera.
What a camera! And what a viewfinder. I'm amazed that Leica didn't incorporate field size display in the magnificent M-3, nor in any of the subsequent versions of the M mount Leica. And the IIIa is blessed with an excellent lens.
The weight and solidity of the IIIa is impressive. Swung by its strap it would make a useful defensive weapon, although let's hope that is never needed.
