Paper as a medium

#1
I never heard of this until I joined APUG. It sounds really interesting, but I want to make sure I understand. You put a negative on top of photographic paper and expose it to light and it makes an image? Understand I use reversal film almost exclusively, don't develop my own stuff, and have a lot to learn about how paper works.

Yes, it is the same as if you used a negative in an enlarger. With reversal film, you would be making a negative image. Most people use this technique to take a negative and make it a positive. For example your reversal film is positive which would make a negative image on paper. you could then take the paper image (negative) and make it a positive by exposing light through that paper image onto a fresh sheet to get a positive.
