1990 Kodak VeriColor III suggestions/ help?

#1
Hopefully this is an alright spot to post this.

I recently bought a bulk roll of super expired Kodak VeriColorIII (ISO 160) and I am curious if you guys have any suggestions on settings. I have processed several other rolls of C-41 as normal B&W so I imagine I will probably try that out with this film as well if that has any factor in your response. I am interested in developing color as well but I will figure that out once I get there.

My research so far is that people tend to rate the ISO lower based on how old the film is. I have read and heard a lot of contrasting information about that so I am not sure how low to rate it. I can tell you that the film expired in 1990 and was probably stored at "room temperature" for a bulk of that time.

If any one has any experience with this film in general I would be interested to hear about it and hopefully see some pictures!

Why not load up a 12 exposure roll and develop as normal in C-41. That should give you some idea what to expect.

I was given some 220 size Vericolor III dated 1987 -- so I loaded up my Pentax 6x7 and took some rating it at 40 ASA instead of 160 ASA and processed for 15 seconds longer than normal in C41 and got some very good results -- I loaded up my Mamiya C220 with some and one frame I enlarged to 16x12" using my British 'NOVA' slot processor and RAF chemicals and paper and got an award!
