paper negative

Paper Negative Life?

#1
Does anyone have any information on the life of paper negatives? Life being defined as how long can I make a print from it. I am guessing it will be partly related to the paper being used and other factors that I may not be thinking about. I am wondering if anyone archivally processes your paper negatives (eg, 2nd hypo, hypo clear, selenium tone) as you would for traditional fine prints and if that has any effect on the negative and its life?

Thanks,

Tim

hi tim

as long as you process your negative to last a long time, it will last a long time
whether it is a paper negative or paper positive.
as long as your toner doesn't add to additional tone on the negative
that may translate to a bleached out look, you should be OK.
have fun !
