Sinar Parts Sources?

#1
Where do you get parts for repairing, improving, and upgrading older Sinar View Cameras, such as the 4 by 5 F and F1?

You can order them from your local Sinar distributor for the most part. I get them from Sinarbron in NJ. I've only had to replace dry levels thus far, and it looks like I need another one.

Good morning;

Just to show that people are still doing things with SINAR cameras, I was visiting my local camera store this weekend, and found some SINAR things in their display case. The salesman who was assisting did not know that I had SINAR 4 by 5 gear. He will watch for things like this in the future. Anyway, a SINAR main rail with end caps, a mount clamp (without the label) to go on it, a few miscellaneous standard pieces, and an undrilled lens board came home with me. The lens board will go onto the SINAR F1 when not in use to help keep dust out. The plastic levers on the main clamp have some cracks and plastic pieces missing, but that can be cured with some epoxy glue and tape used as a form to provide the shape to blend with the contours of the parts still there.

I still need to do something about the bubble levels on the earlier SINAR F.

Enjoy; Ralph, Latte Land, Washington (who is still contact printing 4 by 5)

Hello Ralph,

I believe I just recently saw Sinar size bubble levels on ebay.
I'm sure a proper search will lead you there.

Best regards,
John

Grub screws

Hello - does anyone have the dimensions for the grub screw at the rear left of the rear standard on a 10x8" Norma? - Or can supply one - Also, I would like a new set of the pads that fit in the Sinar Norma runners, also not available new
,
I would also be happy to get information on the best alternative, 'though I may just take mine out and refit them with double sided tape to give that tiny bit of lift I want

No picture as I have spent the last twenty minutes loading it to my website so I could get this site to show the pic and it still does not and I with this site had a system to load images

My Australian Sinar dealer says that Sinar no longer support spare parts for the Normas
