Some may have noticed my picture of the foundry workers has popped up first (last?) on the header of the list.
I found an old wet print 80 x 105 and 55 yo and scanned it. The result has confirmed to me what others have known for yonks - it beats scanning sub-min negatives hands down.
I am pleasantly surprised to find the horrible grain from scanning (?? aliasing ??) is gone and there is more detail.
Obviously scanning is fine for a proof sheet but when the final result is something you wan to admire a wet print is the optimum.
