What Rolleiflex have i got.???

#1
Hi everybody,I hope I dont annoy to many but please bear with me, To help a friend I said Id have a look at a camera a friend of his was trying to sell him.???To cut a long story short I bought it...I am a little fazed, was it the blind leading the blind ,or was the blind led by the nose.I DONT REALY NEED NEED ANSWERS TO THIS.
At first I thought it was a ROLLEI AUTOMAT then realized I was reading the numbers wrong and have now decided it is
Rolleiflex New Standard SER. no 837803 with the usual DBP........DBGM. RED WINDOW TO SET ist EX AND AUTO COUNTING beside the tripod bush
..................BUT it has all sorts it should not have......Syncro Compur shutter......MX flash sync with a lovely togle above the socket..........
two wheels at the base of viewing lense for speed and aperture ,freznel screen on top of ground glass ,if i,m right about the model, the ser no might indicate that it was made for 3 years (short production run) Syncro compur shutter etc etc. (even shorter production run) a rare rollei ???,not that I am thinking of selling it.
Its far from mint, but to my eyes its very, very nice, and and an absolute dream to handle , im not to clever at this computer stuff and typing (this is about 3 hours work so far) I will get some pics (now downloaded) on when I get some help, but in the meantime there is a short article about the launch of the Rolleiflex Automat 2 improved (early photography) 1953, and a pic, it would appear to be identicle apart from mine has no wrighting round the viewing lens.
CAN ANYONE RESTORE SANITY AND SHINE A LIGHT IN ALL THESE DARK CORNERS....................Many Thanks Gilbert

Sorry -- not a 'Rolleiflex' expert but you may be able to get some information from 'Club Rollei' based in Jersey, Channel Islands
