Minolta Autocord renovation --

#1
I was given a very dirty Minolta Autocord + case with a load of other dusty gear -- well -- the Case fell to bits as i was opening it to clean it -- all stitches gone and camera was filthy -- so I cleaned outside with damp cloth = cotton buds and opened up the Mirror Box and nearly fainted at dirt on mirror and rear lens but cleaned it up with lens fluid and tissues and now it is all 'Pristine' and works well -- the test results at full aperture have been amazing !
i did a VIDEO about it -- you can see it here :

My Autocord L's case is also in pieces. My hope is to treat it with Lexol and re-sew. Cases on Ebay are also in bad shape, and cost $50. or more.

I was given an Autocord. Great camera, except the end of the focussing lever is broken, a common problem I believe so focussing requires a bit of effort. I have a rollie Vb as well and reckon the Autocord is actuallya little better. Aperture knob broke off my 80 year old Rolliecord II so it is now on permanent display. When I realised I had actually owned and used it for 53 of those 80 years it rather puts time into perspective!
