Anchor Pulley

Anchor Pulley

First try at gum dichromate printing! Worked! And so down the rabbit hole we go.
Location
Lawrence, KS
Equipment Used
Bender 4x5
Exposure
didn't check negative notes, print exposed for 15 minutes to UV box
Film & Developer
Foma 100 (I think) and Pyrocat-HD
Paper & Developer
cheap watercolor paper, Davey's Grey pigment and 1:1 of gum and potassium dichromate
Lens Filter
none
Is this just one layer or multiple printing layers? It's very nice. My previous attempts seem to have pigment puddling in the dimples of the paper. I like the brush strokes that resemble linen.

One coat. Used a foam brush to coat (brushed in two directions at right angles) the paper and I thought it looked splotchy after that. I may have "overdeveloped" because the brush strokes seen formed up late in the developing. Must have softened and lost a lot of gum.
