Brothers

Snapping pictures of friends on a summer's evening. Still very much getting used to the camera, letting it do the exposure and concentrating on the composition and capturing an appropriate 'moment'. Unfiltered, uncropped, straight print. Oh and I had a go with fill flash just to see how it worked out.

To begin with, I think when I shot, I should have panned a little more to the left. Cut out the end of the bench and included more garden furniture and church. Both are valuable (we're in a vicarage garden) to the portrait, where as the bench end is superfluous.

All comments welcome, bearing in mind that exposure and printing were not my priorities.

Thanks, Jonathan.

I like this picture. Tip: Do not concentrate only to the subject, but the background also: the paper (or some object) under the elbow of the first boy is very distracting.
Shadows are blocked but thats a printing issue.
