That is beautiful... makes you want to speak very softly. It almost looks like a destroyed city in the background... like something out of apocolyptic sci-fi. Very nice!
What a wonderfully evocative photograph. The bright patches on the left and right hand sides, especially those that extend into the upper portions of the print look a bit like printing errors- have you tried printing them down to see how it alters the balance of the image? How would the image look with a touch more sparkle in the foreground highlights?
All the best,
Daniel
As it is, this is a very nice image..but in scrolling through I noticed there are at least 3 other images if you were so inclined. could crop the lower 1/4 to 1/3 of the image and it gives a different feel, then the same with the top, then just the upper part of the image could be by itself. So many possibilities, and yet the overall image is still very nice. Good Job.
Thank you very much for your comments. The picture was take during afternoon, that was quite cloudy and foggy. I used a grey filter with factor 1000, so that the exposure time was quite long. I do not think that the bright and dark tones in the upper part are caused by develop or by burning. I think that it is a result of movement of the clouds and fog in the wind at the exposure by 20 sec. Personally, I do not mind the bright part so much. Fact is that bottom is a bit darker but I like it and I use it very often on my pictures. Photomc - you have truth, maybe a little less of bottom part is also interesting.Thank you all once again.
