Color negatives can produce technically perfect results compared with transparencies. A scanned color negative has more latitude at the initial exposure and after processing when it is scanned. High resolution drum scans can produce amazing prints. Both Kodak and Fuji employ new masking technology to prevent blocking in highlights and increase color saturation.
