This was somewhere before the halfway mark of a 90km one way drive through part of Diamantina NP in Qld. Which is really the whole of the Diamantina Station, now owned by Qld NP's. It's a pretty big station, we used up around 400km of our fuel tank just in the park.
Thank you Eric, nice idea. Not too sure whether I could find that many fences this old in such a perfect setting, think around 80 years, give or take, for this one. Or as isolated as this one, or on a station that hasn't seen livestock for about 20 years like Diamantina. The scale of this station is immense, it is 507,000 hectares (1,250,000 acres).
This picture is helped by the fact the station had been in a drought lasting around 5-8 years, I took it in August 2015; rain has come since and the drought is broken, so the area could look vastly different.
