One of a series of hand-colored Polaroid transfers on watercolor paper. I'm mostly doing these on Rives BFK, but I have done some on Thai Kozo paper as well. I'm using a Polaroid Lab and my iPhone to make the Polaroid transfers, then hand-coloring with watercolor pigments.
I just discovered it recently myself. There's a bit of a learning curve to working with it, but not much. The tricky part is to get the emulsions separated and transferred. I've tried both color and b/w emulsions but the color ones are far less successful for transferring, in my experience. I've gotten one color emulsion to transfer successfully out of maybe a dozen attempts, whereas I have a near 100% success rate on the b/w transfers. They're still delicate things and can tear easily, but that's part of the unique charm of the things.
