Rollei IR station

Rollei IR station

I was testing-out Rollei Infrared B&W film with a 695nm filter. So far, I think EI 25 works best, metering through-the-lens, and then attaching the filter.
Equipment Used
Nikon F100 SLR, with Nikkor 50mm F/1.8 AF lens
Exposure
1/100 second, at F/8
Film & Developer
Rollei Infrared B&W film, lab developed and scanned (Clayton F76+)
Lens Filter
B+W 695/092 IR Dark Red Filter

  1. Yes
Good shadow detail and a 695nm filter captures the "blast of light" look with apppropriate IR foliage but also a more normal sky. A darker sky in this scene might have been too much

EI of 25 has the added benefit of making most handheld shots a real possibility

It has all worked very well

Thanks!

Not bad for EI 25, but I think I would have preferred the shadows to be a bit more open, especially if you are going to wet print it. EI 12, maybe? I routinely exposed this film at EI 3-6. Clayton 76 seemed to do a good job overall, though. Nice tones.
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I will try increasing exposure, on the next roll.

I have no comments about the photo because I have very little experience with IR Rollei. But I am enjoying the photo.
