This is Anish Kapoor’s “Untitled” in the New Orleans Museum of Art Sculpture Garden.

Shot on vacation in late December 2024 using the Olympus XA I bought here from loccdor. (Thank you!)

First time trying selenium toning and first time posting work here too!

Wow! I had no idea that XA would be making it's way here! New Orleans is where I was born and I used to hang out and ride my bike in City Park all the time. You achieved great classic tones in that print. I can't tell that it was taken with a compact camera.

Olympus XA is the best compact camera for BW work I have ever used and saw works. This is the top quality I have ever seen from this camera and wonderful wild contrasty pallette. I dont know how it is reacted to pyro developers and Tri X film ? I gave XA to a student and she made some magnificient work with it also. Keep the camera and buy few spares if you have money. I dont have this money and watching the world from faraway and high.

Oh wow thank you so much! What a kind, kind comment. I am really loving the camera for BW work. I have tried Tri-X in it, looks lovely. I don’t know about pyro developer. Will look into that!
