Monument to the fallen soldiers of the Union,15th New Jersey Volunteers at the "Battle of the Bloody Angle" or "The Muleshoe Salient" near Chancellorsville, VA. I used an old lens I have had kicking around for display, hoping to get a diffused dreamy look, but forgot my NDs, so it disappointed me!

That was quite likely the very worst fighting of an entire war filled with horrible fighting. Both sides were standing in the mud on top of the bodies of their comrades who died before them as they killed each other for hours from one side of a log wall to another.
