This photo turned out much better than I thought that it would at the time of exposure. That being said, it is a bit clutered. Does the seeming lack of a true center of interest ruin the picture or is there something to it?

Yes it does tend to suffer a little from a point of interest. To me, it might be strengthened a little by cropping the top to just above the gauge, and the bottom to just above the drive belt (?). Nice tone

I tried the croping and it does bring it together a bit more as a picture. Thanks for the feedback. It is, as always, much appreciated.
