Rick

Rick is a neighbour of mine and plays guitar in several bands. This shot was taken backstage at a concert he was doing.

The original was taken using colour film (Kodak Portra if I remember correctly), but printed on to Ilford MG RC paper. The lighting was a single Sunpak Autozoom 3600 flash bounced off a nearby wall. I really like this shot and it's one of my favourites.

I agree with the other comment. Both the lighting and composition make this a strong image to my eye.

But the instrument the gentleman is playing is an electric Bass ( A Fender by the way and is either a left hand version or you have reversed the image ) and is not considered to be a guitar either by bassists or guitar players.
