Whaler's Cabin, Pt Lobos

I made this photograph several years ago, on visiting Pt. Lobos a while back I found that this view no longer exists. The building is there, but it's been restored and is now a museum.
At the time of this picture, I was struck by the simularity of the living tree and the wood of the cabin, and that the cabin and the tree seem to be one thing.
This is a negative scan, the only print I currently have doesn't fit on the scanner. I should also point out, the negative is flipped to represent the print, and I have no idea now why I printed it backwards originally. I'll post the the print when I have a chance to photograph it.

Comments welcome, thanks for looking.

Well spotted. It looks as if the tree is enveloping the cabin from its roots to its branches. As if claiming it as a fellow wooden creature. Similarities extend to both being gnarled, weathered and old
