The more I looked at this, the more I liked it. It's not completely sharp on my monitor, I would like to see the print itself. Scans are like looking through a screen door at times. I know mine can be. However the photo has an other-worldly feel and nice tones.

Hoosierken, the image is sharp to the point of being able to count the grains of sand. The scan, on the other hand, is not so sharp. Next time I'll be sure to use the unsharp mask before posting.

Bob, the main values of the rock are mostly between zones IV and VI with the blacks being a strong zone 0. Is that what you're seeing?
