Jeanette,
You needed one of those big Hollywood storm fans behind the building to force the clouds higher in the sky!!
Interesting building, are there a lot of silos built like this? Makes for some interesting shadows.

Jeanette,
I love the lines and curves here, plus you've nailed the exposure with beautiful tonal range. Welcome to the Rodinal Appreciation Society! Members accept no responsibility for any addiction resulting from the use of Magic Rodinal

Thanks guys! You know, Gene, I've not seen any others specifically like this, but there are a LOT of old stone silos in the state. Many concrete ones, too. I waited to get the cloud to rise...I huffed & puffed, but this was the best it would do & I did not want to lose that great "V" shadow!
Yep, I think Rodinal & I will be fast friends! :D

If this is a local farm and these silos inspire you it may be agood idea to go there in different weather and try different perspectives. Harvest a picture from time to time. They usually get better and better. Exposure and sharpness seam to be spot on as far as can bee seen on a screen, nice work! Points where this picture would not quite satisfy me if it was mine (tastes differ, hence the disclaimer) are the cable running to left border, the slight tilt to the right and to much forgeround. A compositional aspect one might agree to or not: The building is standing on a hillside running down from right to left and this is where the window is looking to. To me this window is like the eye of a face. View at it this way and you may find that the window should not be in such deep shade and there should be more free room to the left where this \"face\" is looking at.

Well, maybe it is just to hot in here and I wish summer was over but it I could imagine this white silo would look more interesting in bad wheather.

best

Lovely tones and textures and you've got an eye for the interesting subject. Some cropping could be of benefit if you wished to emphasis the great contrast of the shadows on the tanks. Really seems worth spending some time around here .

I can see a number of pictures just waiting to get out in this scene......
Good interesting subject, well seen and recorded.
