A public sculpture known as "Curve XXII", by Ellsworth Kelly. While walking past, I was struck by how the afternoon sun reflection was banded across the curve of the sculpture. Photo taken September 1982. Print made February, 1999 on 8” x 10” paper. (Previously posted but long since deleted.)
The goal was to capture and print at least some detail in the sun reflection. The sun itself is hitting the upper left corner. The rest is a band of reflection caused by the curve of the obelisk. Reminds me of a lighting bolt going to ground.
