a hint about the scan: there is a bluish cast on the paper, and I don't think it is there originally (?). (If so, just stop reading;-))
when scanned, you can easily remove this tone (also in the image) in PS, if you chose Ctrl U and then chose "blue" ( and then "cyan") and downscale the saturation for this colours.
This often happens to me, when I scan originals, and I think it is ok to mention this here, as it is all about making the image look as true to the original as possible (?).
However, if not, then just remove my remarks (I think you have the power to do it..)
