Carbon Transfer print made from 8x10 film. I wanted to see how a dye/dodge mask would work. A piece of frosted mylar was laid on top of the negative. The Autumn foliage was shaded lightly with a soft pencil, to lighten it in the print. The foreground was also penciled in a bit to lighten.
Nope, not at all. I've used this technique for contact printing on gelatine silver papers. It works well. The edge of a very soft pencil does the trick. I also use powdered graphite and Q-tips. Thanks for commenting!
