Fiddleheads

When the rainy season starts, most of my ferns start flushing new leaves. Like most young leaves, the leaf edges are very thin and translucid. Lit by windowlight, at the right angle, they look like solarized.

Reminds me a bit of Karl Blossfeldt who photographed plants in a semi-abstract way.
Good.

Of the four this is the best IMO. The others look to be just pictures of plants. This one seems to go a bit beyond that.

Mark,
I must admit that your comment goes in the right direction. I really love the other images (the pitcher plant I posted because I`m thrilled with this new developer), but when I photograph plants and animals I gravitate towards "species illustrations," which is how I started in photography. And some people perceive that more than others. These Karl Blossfeldt inspired fiddleheads are more of an abstraction than a species illustration, which must be more your taste of images.
I`ll keep your comment in mind with my current project.
