Jnanian urged me to just go shoot the film I have. After all it's paid for. So.. I purposefully went out and had some fun with tungsten film to emphasize the blue in life.
Just because I can! (but I think this is cool none the less).
It may seem sort of obvious, but I see these and I think they would look great as Type-II Cyanotypes. If I had shot these images, that's definitely what I'd be doing with them.

Well, my intention on these is to offer them as poster size prints on my website. I don't have any other plans with these specific shots because they would not work well for gum bichromate (which is my first choice for color printmaking for fine art). I have other color slides I'll do gum bichromates on when I get to that later this year. San Simeon is in my backyard basically. I'm constantly visiting this pier on my way up the Big Sur coast. I do like the severe wide angle of 25mm on 4x5. Happened to figure that out while having fun with tungsten. But I do plan to reshoot this pier on Ektachrome E100VS, possibly this next weekend if Carrizo Plain doesn't work out.
I have about 6 more shots of the pier on this series and some other shots further north at Piedras Blancas Motel another one of my photo-farms. I'll post one from Piedras Blancas Motel before I go to bed. Out of 12 shots taken I think 9 wound up pretty cool, or cool enough for me to pay to get them scanned.
