Funerary hatchment

Above the transept chapel in St Mary's Church is a funerary hatchment dated 1703. It's so dark that one can barely make out anything on it, and the film has captured exactly what you can see. That's a ridiculous amount of dynamic range, considering the light coming in through the windows!

Wonderful composition--I like the tension between the symmetry in the doorway and the asymmetry of the foreground. Impeccable.
 
@Tel - the church (lovely though it is) was a nightmare because at first glance, it looks symmetrical. Then when you start lining up the lines of the ground glass with the main elements, you realise that it's not even close!
