Gimlets

Gimlets

Gimlets are a type of eucalyptus tree that's indigenous to my area. Their bark ranges from this deep red through to a salmon pink, with bronze particularly common.

Well, I've heard of (and even drank) a gin gimlet, but trust me, these trees are MUCH better! I love seeing the pics you post of your area of the world!

Subtle and soft with the trees seemingly trudging slowly westward on their way to the great vodka sea!

Somehow this image is a bit eerie. It is lovely, but scary at the same time. It reminds me of the movie "The Triffids".
Very nicely done, Greame.

Very nice image. The colours are subtle and effective. I spent two weeks last Christmas in Tasmania, much of the time trying to get a shot like this - with no success. Must make a good print, well done.
