Gravelly Bend, Rock Creek, Rock Creek Park

A gravelly bend in Rock Creek, which runs through Washington DC. Rock Creek Park is one of the largest urban park systems anywhere, stretching some 30 miles from its origins down to the Potomac River. It was once the industrial base for early Washington DC, housing dozens of water powered grist mills grinding the wheat, corn and grains of the surrounding farmlands. Today it is an urban oasis.

Looks good Scott.

Very well designed and appealing. It does look like you've sharpened it for the web a bit too much. I'm sure the print will be less so.

Love all the texture.FWIW, I sharpen until I can just see the difference, then back off slightly. On something like this with all the specular highlights it's easy to take it too far, and actually, for web viewing, this might not need sharpening at all.
