JACK

Lower Methil Docks. Young people gather here at weekends for whatever they get up to. The graffiti is forever changing. Forth Ports are always shoving up barb wired fencing but it is usually torn down just as quickly as it is erected.

Some aspiring artists down in the docks. Great rendering of texture; you make me want to go out and shoot more 5x7. And I heartily approve of the inclusion of the film holder frame lines to remind us!

Thanks Tel. I also need to go out and shoot more 5x7. I always like to include the film holder frame. In the 1930's Methil Docks used to export 3 million tons of coal annually from 3 docks. 30,000 men were employed in the docks. The pits closed and by the mid 1970's the last ton was exported. It's now an industrial wasteland, with just the odd dog walker and photographer like me wandering around.
