No, wow, didn't realise you've been there. It's a special place for me as my Bible teacher lived here and her family farm is in the area. Its just so nice out on the prairie.
Yes, I've done quite a lot of photography along highway #13, The Red Coat Trail! Hard to beat the prairies for inspiration! I'm hoping to get back there this Summer, after Japan.
I concur but as a TLR camera I wasn’t privy to exactly what the taking lens saw. As i recall i may have tried to shield the lens, but it didn’t work. On the other hand the lens flare might be seen as another, albeit not popular, but just another type of artistic expression, e.g., Que Sera Sera
At first I thought the reflection was a kite caught up in the tree....It does not bother me. In fact, it adds to the "heat" of the Saskatchewan Prairie... and I cannot count the number of times, my kite got lodged up in a tree, growing up in that province!
IMHO, the angle of the flare mirrors the angle of the trees, and the addition of the extra, complementary graphic element adds to the interest in the result.
I wouldn't admit that it was an accident - let people assume you planned it
