Mad dogs and Englishmen.....

Rescued from a very high contast neg by split grade printing. (Plenty of shadow detail under rock), however does this composition work for you?

Split grade (00 for sand detail in highlights, 5 for shadow detail under rock)
For me it works. I like the complimentary rounded shapes of both the stones and the sand pattern.
 
It works for me, too! I like the lines, but the texture of the sand looks almost surreal...almost like liquid silver in spots! Very cool!

Fussy...I'll give you fussy. LOL and point taken. I can handle the busyness but I am also unsure of the lower right rock, and I cant make up my mind if it is because it is incomplete or just that it is there at all.

Not being expert I don't think I am very qualified to comment... but I'll try! lol!

If this was mine I would have cropped the bottom of the shot up to just below the lowest point of the middle rock's shadow. It would look more 'zen' to me then.
