Little Egypt

The area where I live here in Southern Illinois is called "Little Egypt." This is one of the reasons why the name is perpetuated - this door at the Marion, Illinois Veterans Hospital is painted to look like the entrance to a Pharoah's burial chamber or something similar.

  1. Yes
i really like the motif - i'm a fan of the VA, and client - i might question the reference to a burial chamber as an entrance to a hospital and at the same time can see the humor in it being an employee entrance. great capture.
