Excellent up-hood view of this 67 GTO with the vertical headlamps. Fond memories growing up in this era. As a teen I recall driving over to San Berdo, Ca. and watching the very first vintage of the 64 GTO's roll off the truck onto the lot. 389-tri-power-4 speeds. The original ones came with the first series of Tiger Paw tires. I think they were Uniroyal brand with a red stripe around the outer layer. I was a Chevy guy already and had a 64 Malibu back then.....the 60's at it's best.
OMG I actually owned a GTO back in the 60's. What a great car! It was stolen 3 times, stripped of the chrome covers and recovered by the police each time. Nice work capturing the feeling of strength and importance. Thanks for the walk down memory lane...
