First platinum print made after my workshop with Tillman Crane at Peter's Valley. Exposed in the sun as the times were a bit longish for the UV machine. Taken at 6:30 AM
Paper is Pltinotype
Louie-the picture was taken right by the metalsmithing shop. After seeing Tillman Cranes photographs I see that the best images(as always) are the straight foward simple ones.
I have a little bit of tweaking to do here as the highlites need to come down a bit. But I was working in the sun and running up and down the stairs about 40 times that day so I ran out of time. Never knew Platinum printing was a weight loss program!! I have some other good negs. that I will print up this week. I have another opportunity to do some other pictures out there as I'm going back to Peter's Valley on the 19th for a Albumen Workshop.
If you get the hankerin' for trying Platinum just give me a holler-I heard it's real nice up there in Saratoga Springs in the Fall! I could get you started over a weekend.
Best, Peter
It's nice to see your pictures in big Peter Specially this one has a great mood.
I'll be scanning asap! (there is some digital stuff at www.allesismooi.nl though but I will not dare to post those on apug, above that the digicam is only used when I am not serious or as a lightmeter.)
