i wonder if you have any photos of the mysterious towns that were flooded for the reservoir// roofs/steeples poking-up when the water level is low. in any case great stuff! keep up the good work
ps. did they make a documentary movie about the flooding of the quabbin? there was a film made when they moved the villages & flooded what is now the scituate reservoir. our local pbs affilaite (wsbe) in rhode island plays the silent film from time to time
Recently, WGBY produced a documentary about what lies beneath the Quabbin waters, the exact title escapes me at the moment. It was quite interesting, because I grew up just north of the Quabbin in Athol, live now in Springfield.
But, alas it is just a myth about steeples poking above the surface. Wish there were structures still standing, 'cause at low levels it would make for some very interesting photos. And in the early '90's the levels were very low. Some of the boulders that appear are quite huge.
