This hawk landed relatively close by and hung out for a while. The flash didn't faze it at all. Taken in 2003 and recently digitized.

Excellent shot! Bird photography is really difficult, fortunately hawks seem to have little fear of humans, at a respectful distance. I once approached a hawk within perhaps 30 feet, moving slowly and viewing through the camera all the while. Now if I can only find the pictures......
