This classical-style ruin is unique in the Netherlands.
1e Behind the façade is just a shed.
2e: there is an intuitive sculpture
3e suggestion of a tree: chopping wood
I like how the light spills on the building and surrounding area. Development was controlled as you have not lost any detail. The wood pile and ruin are also nicely placed close to opposite thirds. Well done.
Sort of torn on this. I love the light a lot, but the tension between the proximity of the tree to the side of the building bothers me. I almost wish you were able to move the camera to the left a little or use a different lens to have your 3 main elements slightly more spaced. However there is so much going for this picture. I love how the strip of light almost makes a walkway in front of the building which creates motion.
This is a superior image just as it is. Don't change a thing about it. I should like to see a very big print of this which I expect would be an over powering image with great strength. Ot is terrific ... I really like it... Logan
