Great picture Kenny, but when you compare this monument to the original photograph taken by Joe Rosenthal (probably one of the most iconic photographs ever taken). The original photo is much better. The figure on the right is nothing like the stance of the figure in the original. The figures in the monument are too closely packed. The reaching hand is not quite right and the flag is portrayed without the same dynamism of the moment in time as portrayed in the photograph.

The flag above the statue was a real flag and the wind was blowing slightly. That caused it to keep changing as I took my sequence of pictures - I took a total of 7 pictures from different angles.
