After at least 30 miles of nothingness, I stumbled upon these old combines and farm implements in the middle of nowhere in the Carrizo Plain in California. After shooting some frames I headed home. It was then I figured out they were from Traver Ranch, a famous ranch from 1930's that could not endure a decade of drought. The ranch was eventually deeded back to the BLM.
