I think Val was keeping an eye on Noche, who stalks her before play "attacking".
They're all ours. We got Tess from the SPCA as company for an aging dachsund who'd recently lost his buddy. We got Val from the same place as company for Tess, as Jake (Dachsund) was nearing the end of his years. Noche I rescued of a ranch up north (wasn't a good cattle dog and the rancher wanted rid of it one way or the other). Dakota came from our son, who was moving and couldn't keep her anynmore, and we couldn't let her go to a stranger. So, we ended up with twice as many dogs as we'd planned on, but love them all.
What I really love about these images is that you are down at their level...eye level. So many people photograph their dogs from their vantage point. Lower is so much more interesting. It shows in their eyes and expressions. Great job!
