Where did you get the formula for collodion dry plate?....would you provide me with a link?
The shot is fine, but the wrinkled paper distracts me, both the sky and the snow look the same...weird... :smile:

Superb stuff hermit. Amazing tones and detail in the scan, I bet the original pic is something else.

Jorge;

I'll send you the formula I use. It is a modification of the one found in The Silver Sunbeam http://albumen.stanford.edu/library/monographs/sunbeam/chap37.html
The main modification I use is the collodion is Lea's # 7, and then I soak the plate in very hot water before development and use warm developer as is mentioned in the Sunbeam article.

I need to scan a copy of this I mounted and living in the country will need to wait until I get some software fixed for my other computer with the scanner. Got tired waiting for it so I posted some raw unmounted ones I had scanned right after I developed them.

As always;

J Truman
