Well, before it does, I found this interesting page the other day while doing a Google search to locate their home page...
https://www.filmferrania.com/
"Returning Fall of 2019"... well, I hope so!
The .com is their shop page. If you click on the "go to main site" it will direct you to the .it site
yes, the .it page used to have a "shop" link that pointed to teh .COM page. Dave Seems to have arranged to drop the Shop link, and at the same time moved the contents of the shop page from fall of 2018 to fall of 2019
Hmm... nothing's been posted
here since Sept. 2nd...

This link is giving a "red warning" of not secure, and "Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.filmferrania.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards)".
(Not seen this warning on any other site, and my anti-virus, etc., all seem in order.)
And I could see not bothering to get a fresh certificate for a site that is currently "on Hold" - better to order one the week you intend to "go Live. The site is just http:// and not https:// which means it does not have an SSL cert which Google prefers and will flag as above if no SSL cert is present or has expired.

network tools indicate it is currently at Top host, on a standard Linux/Apache Server.
Dave Bias did drop a hint that when they do come back that they may use Shopify.
The site is just http:// and not https:// which means it does not have an SSL cert which Google prefers and will flag as above if no SSL cert is present or has expired.
SSL is used to secure credit card transactions, logins, data transfers and basically making a website secure and trustworthy.
Not having an SSL cert is a bit like having a website that is not mobile-friendly (60% of my online customers purchase on mobile)
I know from my own site, that I get advanced notification of SSL cert renewal so I can pay the fee and be secure for the next year.
I'm not too excited about Apache. Just consider the origin of the name! (hint: not native american)

It is the top server these days, and yes it is Very Patchy!
infact that is how we are communicating at the moment the site data for www.photrio.com comes back as
Liquid Web, L.L.C 4210 Creyts Rd. Lansing MI US 48917 72.52.157.76 Linux Apache 25-Jan-2018
I was just commenting with amusement!

easier to grow bananas
in Italy than to make film
there...
