A common problem with Bronica S2 cameras is the breakdown of the foam originally used as a shim below the focus screen. When this foam deteriorates, the focus screen shifts positions and throws off the focus distance of the viewing system with relation to the film position, thus leading to unsharp images. I have repaired several of these cameras with this problem in the past, and I have found that the kind of moleskin used as a padding in shoes to prevent blisters is an easy-to-use, readily available, inexpensive, and relatively long-lasting replacement material for the original shim material. A nice feature of the material is that it is self adhesive, easy to cut, and it won't compress like the kind of foam used for mirror bumper repair. A roll/package costs about $10 in the US. Here is what this stuff looks like.
