Here are the details of the Canberra market this coming Sunday. Come along and see if it's really a "fiesta."
Canberra Photographic Collectors' Society
Photographic Fiesta
Sunday 15th May, 2011
10:30am - 2:30pm
The Canberra Irish Club
6 Parkinson Street, Weston, ACT
* 100'S OF ANTIQUE & COLLECTABLE CAMERAS
* USEABLE FILM & DIGITAL CAMERAS
* ACCESSORIES & PHOTO BOOKS
At the last market, numbers seemed to be down a little, and some of the smaller vendors thought we should have advertised more. Perhaps the weather didn't help; it rained, and the roof leaked.
A beautiful Agfa 6 x 9 autofocus enlarger kept being offered for lower and lower prices as towards closing time. I don't think it sold. A cheap 35 mm Durst did however sell. A much better 35 mm Meopta was reserved for someone who never showed up; I'll be bringing it along again on the 15th May 2011; it'll be offered as a complete outfit, bar an easel, unless we can dig one up.
The Fiesta usually winds up with an auction with some odds and ends going for practically nothing.
