Minolta Maxxum 9 (also known as the Alpha 9 and Dynax 9) with 35-70 lens – in excellent condition. The Maxxum 9 was Minolta's most advanced AF film SLR and was their flagship professional camera when introduced in the late 90s. This is not the 9xi.
Key features include 5.5 fps rate, 1/12,000 top shutter speed, 1/300 sec flash sync speed, built-in flash and 4-segment flash metering, 14-segment honeycomb pattern metering, 100 percent visible viewfinder field, clad metal body with weatherproofing, and 21 custom functions. Uses A-mount lenses which are easily found and relatively inexpensive (certainly inexpensive for the quality).
The camera is in excellent condition – both cosmetics and function. Recently film tested. The LCD panel is perfect and the body is not sticky. Shutter is fine based on film test. Viewfinder is clean and clear. The 9 has one feature to be aware of - the viewfinder display is dim in bright light. This is inherent in all the 9s; a bit worse if your wearing glasses as more ambient light is present.
The Maxxum 9 uses a 2cr5 lithium battery. I buy Panasonic or Varta fairly cheap on ebay. They last a long time. It's a great pro level (really!) camera.
The Minolta A-mount 35-70 lens is also in excellent condition. Zoom and focus work properly. No haze, fungus, or significant marks on glass.
$265 plus shipping for the body. $285 plus shipping for body and lens. Paypal OK.
