If that's the only purpose, then my family will have TONS of pictures to remember me by. None will have my face. If you just want to see my ugly mug, scroll through my wife's Facebook feed. Those stupid pictures of me will linger forever, I'm sure.People spend their whole lives taking pictures and when they die, their families have no pictures to remember THEM by.
That is true, but how many of those actually become a picture that can go into the family "shoebox"? I venture to say very few if any. In my experience, most of the Smartphone photos never make it past showing the image on the screen, the end result still being no permanent photographic print to leave for later generations. If you know anyone who is into Genealogy, ask them about the value of portraits in their research. But maybe what I am talking about has no place in today's "throw away" society. If so, we can all forget "archival" photography.......Regards!Smartphones are so ubiquitous that few of us can totally avoid being the subject in a photograph any longer! You almost need to be like a vampire with mirrors in avoidance effort.
