First roll from Pentax 17, the new half frame camera. Nothing artistic, just going through all modes, all distances, indoors and outdoors, flash and no flash. Fujicolor C200 film (Made in Japan), Bellini C41 home processed. Just straight scan from Nikon Coolscan V, no adjustment other than cropping.

It does seem to do a nice job with color film.

Nice images!
Most of the cameras will probably be used to take photos at similar distances, so those are very promising results.
Thanks for posting them.

Posted in “Lo-Fi Cameras” - is that the peer group for this camera?

I'd be happy to move it to the 35mm camera sub-forum if @blee1996 would like.
This sub-forum probably ought to have something like "Smaller Film Format and Lo-Fi Cameras" as a title.

In the same roll, I have quite a few family snapshots but decided not to share due to privacy. Most of them are in focus with good exposure. I can feel the Pentax 17 is in the similar league as the Yashica T5 (T4 Super) that I used to own. AF on small compact film cameras quite often miss focus in family snapshots, due to subject movements.

Sure, we can move to 35mm. I was not sure which forum to post under.

And it is moved accordingly. Thanks for sharing your results.

Look good to my eye. If you can nail stuff that close on scale focus I'd say it's pretty good.

These look good! Perhaps the lens is really good enough. Do we know whether it might have aspherical elements? Molded asphericals have become cheap to make and might enable a 3 element lens to be better than one would expect based on past spherical designs.

Simple question. The specs say it takes a CR2 battery. Does it take one or two. If just one, that's explains a lot.

OK. That explains why the battery is only good for 10 rolls of film. But like with a lot of cameras, it's a good idea to bring a spare.

Power Source

Battery Type One 3V lithium battery(CR2) Not compatible with rechargeable CR2 type batteries
Battery Life Approx. 10 cartridges* when using 36 exposure film (using fresh battery under the condition of 50% flash shots) * According to the result of RICOH IMAGING in-house testing

720 frames with one battery on average assuming 50% flash shots?

Sounds awesome. It's going to be 1000 pictures or more for people like me who use flash 1% of the time.
